Cuento final
¿A dónde nos vamos cuando soñamos? Era esa una pregunta que me hacía todo el tiempo cuando era un niño. Al nunca quedar satisfecho con las respuestas, me inventé mi propia teoría. Cuando soñamos, nuestra alma se sale del cuerpo y viaja por el universo, a partes conocidas y desconocidas. Y ese momento justo antes de quedar dormido y en el cual uno de repente se despierta después de un vértigo, es que el alma se estaba intentando salir pero entró de nuevo al cuerpo de forma abrupta.
Años después, me explicaron cómo es el proceso real de soñar… algo relacionado con la fase REM o de Movimiento Ocular Rápido que a decir verdad no me pareció más que un término científico rimbombante para un fenómeno inexplicable. En realidad esas investigaciones sólo comprueban algunos de los procesos que se llevan a cabo en el cuerpo humano a la hora de soñar, mas no el fenómeno en sí.
Tal vez haya nuevos descubrimientos o ignore algún pedazo clave de información, pero para mí el acto de soñar sigue siendo milagroso. Por otra parte, me sigue gustando más mi propia teoría. Tal vez me divierte la idea de que mi alma esté gozando en otros mundos mientras mi cuerpo duerme.
De todas formas, sea verídica la teoría científica o la mía, siempre que me levante asustado en ese momento justo antes de dormir, pensaré en mi alma volviendo al cuerpo, y siempre que recuerde algún sueño, no será un sueño nada más, sino una vivencia de mi otro yo, en un mundo paralelo. Después de todo, el mundo de la imaginación es mucho más grande que el mundo real. ¿Cierto?
