Camino por la gran ciudad, en busca de una distracción. Aunque mi naturaleza no sea la de vivir en un eterno presente, me forzaré solo por hoy. Los pies me duelen y los pensamientos todavía no se van. Ningún acontecimiento fuera de lo común se cruza por mi camino, lo que hace reaparecer su imagen. Tengo que evitarlo, concentrarme en el ahora, en lo que sea. Me detengo, respiro profundo y de manera lenta. Lo hago varias veces, siento cómo mis pulmones se llenan de aire y luego exhalo. Busco con mi mirada cualquier cosa y veo a una mujer y a un hombre que se bajan de un taxi.
La mujer tiene puesto un vestido con estampado de piel de Leopardo, sus pendientes y zapatos de color fucsia se perciben a metros, además en la oscuridad. Mastica un chicle y las raíces negras en su cabello delatan que no es rubia natural. Por otra parte, tiene un bronceado ficticio, color naranja, típico de máquinas bronceadoras. No obstante, sus senos y trasero son monumentales… tiene alrededor de 35 años.
El hombre viste un traje y zapatos negros, pantalón gris y camisa blanca. El material y el diseño de las prendas connotan dinero y más dinero. Entonces éste mira la hora… efectivamente, oro puro. El hombre es mayor que ella, pero no por mucho, tiene entre 42 y 45 años y parece estar de prisa. Éste apresura a la mujer, poniendo la mano su espalda. Agacha la cabeza y mira de lado a lado como quien no quiere ser visto. Entonces entran al hotel y hasta ahí llegó esa historia…

Me recuesto en el vidrio de un escaparate, fingiendo mirar unos precios de ropa masculina, pero mi pensamiento vuela dentro del hotelucho, para imaginar lo que estarán haciendo el ricachón y la tigresa de raíces negras. No es difícil figurarse lo que puede pasar allí, pero por un momento logro arrancar de mi mente el recuerdo de Amanda, y me entretengo fingiendo ser un insecto invisible que revolotea sobre la cama de los tortolitos.
La tigresa no pierde tiempo, acostumbrada a estas lides, se quita la ropa con rapidez, se tira en la cama y apura al amante para que actúe lo antes posible; la noche es joven aún, y puede que pesque otros clientes en la avenida. El ejecutivo, cansado del estrés de la oficina quiere otra cosa: se quita cuidadosamente el reloj de oro, lo pone en la mesita de noche, acomoda prolijamente la ropa sobre la silla, se prepara un trago, pone música romántica e invita a su dama de honor a bailar con él. La mujer lo mira con cara de desconcierto, esto le costará dinero extra, pero accede: está acostumbrada a que los clientes le pidan idioteces con tal de olvidar a sus esposas, sus hijos, sus hogares, y así «levantar» su hombría y concluir el asunto.
Me descubro riendo a carcajadas en el espejo de la vidriera. Si alguien me viera diría que estoy loco, pero nunca imaginarían la película que acaba de ver…y todavía en 3D ¡Ja, Ja!
El chirriar de unos frenos en el silencio de la noche, me zambullen en la realidad otra vez. Un coche para frente a la puerta del hotel, la tigresa que baja con urgencia, el portazo y el arranque con violencia, que lo hacen perderse en una nube de humo en la jungla de cemento. Por las dudas apuré el paso, crucé frente al hotelucho, miré hacia adentro con disimulo, no vi al señor rico y me perdí también entre los edificios, esquivando un charco que había dejado la llovizna nocturna…aquello no era problema mío, Amanda si lo era.
